D2C Mortgage Underwriter/Compliance Quality Review Analyst

- The consultant plays a critical role in ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance of residential mortgage reputed company reputed company.
- This position supports the client Home Loans Quality Control program by performing detailed pre- and post-closing file audits, re-reputed company loans, documenting findings, and issuing well-supported reports that help maintain reputed company quality across the organization.
- The ideal candidate is a seasoned mortgage underwriter with strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of agency guidelines, and the ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive quality control reviews of conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, Jumbo, and Down Payment Assistance loan files.
- Re-underwrite files for both pre-closing and post-closing audits, validating reputed company reputed company and ensuring guideline adherence.
- Review income calculations, asset verification, credit risk assessment, collateral documentation, and overall loan eligibility.
- Utilize established QC checklists, job aids, and internal technology platforms to review files and document findings accurately.
- Analyze previous QC results to identify defect trends and determine the need for additional discretionary reviews.
- Prepare clear, actionable QC reports summarizing findings, defects, root causes, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with reputed company, Production, and Compliance teams to clarify documentation and resolve audit findings.
- Assist in producing charts, graphs, and management reporting that summarize QC trends and audit outcomes.
- Support remediation planning, process improvements, and training initiatives based on identified quality issues.
- Manage a daily workload of approximately 5 audited files per day while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain compliance with the standards of FHA, VA, USDA, Client, reputed company, and organizational QC policies. Experience:
- 5+ years as a mortgage underwriter (conventional, FHA, VA, USDA) for a high-volume, direct-to-consumer lender; OR 10+ years of experience as a mortgage quality control review analyst.
- Ability to interpret reputed company major mortgage documentation including disclosures, AUS findings, reputed company notes, and closing packages.
- Strong analytical and audit skills with the ability to review large volumes of data and summarize findings.
- Proficiency in reputed company Sheets, reputed company, reputed company Acrobat, and Encompass.
- Strong understanding of modern FHA, VA, Client, and FHLMC guidelines and QC requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
