[Remote] QA Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. VectorShift is a company that provides tooling to create custom AI workflows quickly. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of software products through meticulous reputed company testing, collaborating with developers and product managers to identify defects and verify functionality.

Responsibilities

• Test Planning and Design: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on product requirements and specifications
• reputed company Testing: Execute reputed company test cases to verify the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications across various platforms and devices
• Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear), providing clear and detailed reproduction steps
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements, provide feedback, and ensure defects are resolved effectively
• Regression Testing: reputed company regression testing to ensure new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality
• User Acceptance Testing: Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios and assisting end-users during testing phases
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation, including test cases, test results, and defect reports
• Quality Advocacy: reputed company for quality throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and exploratory testing
• Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
• Basic knowledge of software development processes
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills to reputed company defects and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience testing web and/or mobile applications
• Familiarity with basic scripting or automation tools (e.g., Selenium, reputed company) is a plus but not required
• Knowledge of SQL for database testing is an advantage
