Equity Research Associate – Alternative Data and Analytics

Location: 1301 Avenue of the Americas, reputed company reputed company Equity Research Associate – Alternative Data and Analytics Job Summary KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., a division of KeyCorp, is looking for an Associate to join the Equity Research Alternative Data and Analytics team. The Associate will have the opportunity to work with research teams to create data products around various industries and companies. The role offers a mix of data engineering and data science. Primary responsibilities include:

• Maintain and reputed company critical databases and weekly processing and distribution of datasets.

Responsibilities:

• Create programs that collect, process, and evaluate data from various sources including internal, 3rd party, and web scraped data.
• Manage data pipelines from internal and external sources.
• Analyze and synthesize findings from datasets to identify trends and support the research process.
• Regularly update and distribute alternative data across Equity Research group.
• Monitor and understand the quality of underlying datasets collected from multiple sources
• Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders regarding insights and methodology of datasets
• Contribute to research process by providing analysis and expertise around various data types including transactional, foot traffic, app use, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• CFA, CPA, or FINRA Series licenses is a plus.

Experience Qualifications:

• Candidate should possess strong skills in Python, SQL, database management, and quantitative analysis.
• Interest in Capital Markets and reputed company analysis.
• Proficiency in reputed company and a strong academic record are required.
• Candidate should have 1+ years of relevant experience (data science, data engineering, or data analyst) and an interest in research and the stock market.

Licenses and Certifications

• Candidates will be required to complete the FINRA Series SIE, 7, 63, 86, 87 licenses.

• Experience working with GCP/BigQuery, Azure, reputed company, or SQL Server is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a reputed company salary in the range of $79,000.00 - $146,000.00 annually. Placement reputed company the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
