About the position

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute research on state and federal policies reputed company to reputed company State of Health Marketplace, including eligibility, enrollment, cost sharing, subsidies, and covered benefits.
  • Analyze policies including rules and regulations reputed company to the reputed company Act and the reputed company safety net, with a focus on their impacts on low-income and immigrant communities.
  • Monitor policy developments reputed company to health and immigration.
  • Research and analyze federal and state legislation, regulations, and programmatic initiatives to enroll the uninsured population into health insurance.
  • Identify data to support and guide health policy and program planning efforts.
  • Coordinate reputed company's legislative tracking systems.
  • Monitor state and federal registers for relevant regulatory actions.
  • Conduct literature searches for evidence reputed company, maintain records, and prepare reports to support reputed company's position on policy recommendations.
  • Draft responses based on literature research to respond to requests from Intergovernmental Affairs, Agency Communications, and requests from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct policy analysis and employ social-determinants-of-health orientation to state reputed company reforms.
  • Coordinate with other policy programs reputed company DOHMH.
  • Assist on special projects as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with a specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological or environmental science or in public health.
  • A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research reputed company in the appropriate field of specialization; or
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization; or
  • Education and/or experience which is equivalent to '1' or '2' above. However, reputed company candidates must have at least a master's degree in an appropriate field of specialization and at least two years of experience described in '2' above.

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local health policy issues, ideally in reputed company
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team and in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in reputed company Word, reputed company, and PowerPoint.
