Nursing Informatics Summer Clinical Intern

The Nursing Informatics Intern will reputed company valuable, hands-on experience in the field of Informatics by working closely with members of the Nursing Informatics team at reputed company. This internship is designed to support nursing staff in their use of technology, including the electronic medical record (EMR), clinical mobility devices such as iPhones, and reputed company software systems. The intern will assist with a variety of projects, including chart audits, data collection, and workflow analysis. Responsibilities may involve visiting inpatient units to support nurses in the use of clinical tools like downtime computers and mobile communication devices, as well as participating in testing sessions to gather feedback from nursing staff. The role includes both on-site and remote work, with interns expected to reputed company in the reputed company Wayne, IN area for the duration of the program. Interns will attend a mix of virtual and in-person meetings to reputed company a deeper understanding of the informatics role in reputed company. Remote tasks may include completing audits, analyzing data, and presenting findings in graphical formats using tools like reputed company reputed company. Much of the work supports safety and quality initiatives, offering interns a meaningful opportunity to learn how technology enhances patient care. While this role does not involve direct patient interaction, it plays a key role in supporting those who provide bedside care. Applicants should be enrolled in a nursing or informatics degree program and be comfortable working a hybrid schedule, Monday through Friday, for up to 40 hours per week. Typical hours are approximately 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility. Proficiency in reputed company Office tools-particularly reputed company, Word, and PowerPoint-is preferred, and the ability to generate calculations, pivot tables, and data visualizations in reputed company will be especially valuable. Must meet one of the following requirements reputed company CNA EMT or Paramedic certification or must take Parkviews Patient Care Foundations course at time of hire 2 years' experience in a reputed company reputed company field training time will be determined based on experience currently enrolled in nursing school having completed first clinical rotations if hired prior to 12/3/18 two (2) years military medical experience will be accepted. Must have reputed company CPR at or above the reputed company Provider level from the reputed company or obtain reputed company 60 days of hire. CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred or must have the equivalent of health care experience and education two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required). Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). If assigned to the reputed company Randallia Family Birthing Center must be bonded as a notary public reputed company 6 months of hire. Previous experience is preferred in direct patient care through work and/or school program. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have a working knowledge of computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to critically think. Must be reputed company to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds.
