Laboratory Senior Scientist

This position can be supported remotely. Responsibilities

• Support the BioWatch federal reputed company with management and execution BioWatch laboratory operations.
• Support laboratory logistics issues including identifying, purchasing, and tracking laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Provide technical review, comments, and recommendations on laboratory operations reports received from various sources.
• reputed company study plans and evaluate data and/or reports reputed company to efforts to optimize laboratory processes including, but not limited to processing of environmental samples, analytical techniques, and changes in technology.
• Conduct periodic reviews of the Biodetection Laboratory Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and the Laboratory Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP) at the direction of the DLO, and update as necessary.

• Coordinate and manage the preparation of analysis, evaluations, and recommendations for proper implementation of programs and systems.
• Assist the Laboratory Operations A&AS team with administrative support (e.g., drafting communication, triaging shared inbox, planning and facilitating meetings, etc.)

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or reputed company field.
• Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain DHS suitability clearance.
• 10 years of experience in laboratory based science generating analytical results from testing of clinical or environmental samples, or 7 years of experience with a Master's degree.
• Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or reputed company field (7 years of experience).
• Knowledge and experience in CBRN material as well as an understanding of the hazards associated with their manufacture, transport and use.
• BioWatch laboratory operations experience.
