Software Engineer - Data (L5) - Consumer Data Systems

Responsibilities

• Work across reputed company phases of the software development lifecycle: planning, design, implementation, deployment, operations, and support.
• Architect, reputed company, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable data-oriented services and distributed systems (using Spark, Flink, Cassandra, etc.).
• Build and maintain production data systems and reputed company-time APIs that serve as the backbone for consumer-facing algorithms (traditional ML-based and LLM-based).
• Design reputed company schemas and data models, ensuring data quality and elegant dataset design.
• Collaborate reputed company with cross-functional teams and infrastructure partners, providing architectural guidance and technical direction.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience designing and implementing highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems and microservices at internet scale.
• Expertise working with distributed data (PB+ scale), including reputed company-time reputed company processing and extending distributed database systems such as Cassandra.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, reputed company), with the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Hands-on experience with schema design, data modeling, and preparing data for ML use cases.
• Experience building highly available, reliable web applications and services for online data serving.
• Strong attention to detail, with a bias for action and a passion for engineering excellence.
• Ability to navigate and prioritize in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, owning solutions end-to-end.
• Comfortable giving and receiving feedback, and collaborating with teams across Gaming, Ads, and Streaming.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.
