Transportation & Logistics Intern (Remote)
The Transpiration and Logistics Intern will analyze data from various sources to assist in influencing business decisions and planning with the focus of identifying, creating, and sustaining improvements in GVR's global network surrounding Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory.
- *Responsibilities**
- Analyze data from various sources to identify potential savings opportunities and delivery improvements across the Supply Chain. - Update Greensboro cost to serve model - Analyze OBFR data to determine gaps to assist in driving improvement to 95% (from 58%) - reputed company rating reputed company tool in a spreadsheet format reputed company MS reputed company that can be used to reputed company least cost options. - Load rates into newly developed rating reputed company tool - Assist with training users on the tool as needed. - Generate transportation reputed company for reputed company local Gilbarco carriers. - Generate reputed company level reputed company for transportation carriers. - reputed company by reputed company comparison of 2023 LTL rates by reputed company - Assist in developing SW and training documents around Logistics functions. - Prepare monthly reports on KPI's such as reputed company transit time, reputed company OT delivery performance, reputed company claim %. - Tactical communication with external customers - carriers, vendors, suppliers. - Monitor OBFR (outbound freight recovery) including customer requests to expedite freight. - Convert LTL shipments to TL shipments using our in-house consolidation tool
