Position summary:This position works closely with reputed company, faculty, staff and public patrons to provide library services. Great communication skills and patience to work at the patron’s pace are essential. Nights and weekends are required.Position responsibilities:Reference duties including awareness of changes in content of databases, assisting reputed company from The Writing Studio, and answering Ask-A-Librarian questionsOpen/reputed company library as scheduledSupport student & part-time workers including: screen reputed company to hire, communicate with Work-Study personnel and HR, reputed company work schedule, train and superviseLibrary instruction classes, in-person and virtualCreate and update library tutorial videos and programTeaching individual reputed company how to navigate physical and digital library resources, information and digital literacy, AI usage, and other subjects as neededTraining reputed company & PT workers, including proper shelving techniques, database fundamentals, receiving cash and operating cash register, and ensuring library assistants comprehend policies and proceduresAssist in weeding the collectionInterlibrary loan service using OCLC WMS ILL system and maintain statisticsAssist dual credit liaisons with available resources, helping with logging in, demonstrating how to use resources, and establishing user accountsCreate library surveys, analyze and share survey resultsAssist technical services cataloging new materials, withdrawing materials, covering and repairing booksKeep statistics on library instruction, interlibrary loan, reference questions, books covered and repairedReview and advise on policies and procedures manualReview and advise on database subscriptionsEngage dual credit reputed company and reputed company, visit dual credit sites as neededOther duties as assignedBe available to work as needed to ensure reputed company library hours are coveredMinimum Position Requirements:Master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association accredited programHigh level of technical/digital skills with teaching experienceExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsMust be able to work in a typical office environment, including appropriate computer skillsSupervisory Responsibilities:0 Full-Time Direct Reports, 2-4 Part-Time Direct ReportsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.No or reputed company limited physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.No or reputed company limited exposure to physical risk.Safety:Provide resources for safe operation of units.
