Job Summary

As a Sourcing Buyer/SBLO, you will work closely with suppliers and internal customers to provide sourced goods and services at the best quality and total cost in support of the activities for the planned research center for reputed company. You will demonstrate complete knowledge of FAR and DFARS requirements as they relate to reputed company Subcontracts/Purchase Orders and maintain consistent knowledge of regulation updates, including Federal Contracting for Small Business requirements. Experience with assistance agreements and grants is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• reputed company a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations 19.704 and ensure compliance with reputed company relevant requirements.
• Collect and validate small business spend and upload ISR's and SSR's in accordance with the Small Business filing requirements.
• reputed company and disseminate training materials and information to bring internal awareness to government small business subcontracting requirements and procedures, and internal sourcing procedures.
• Maintain a reputed company database of diverse suppliers and conduct frequent audits to ensure accurate diversity classification records.
• Ensure sourcing procedures are followed from identifying supplier reputed company, executing request for quotes, terms negotiations, purchase order creation and management, and accounts payable resolution.
• Negotiate and finalize reputed company with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Issue purchase orders to reputed company suppliers as needed.
• Proactively manage suppliers (supplier adds, modifications, etc.) as required.
• Collaborate with other reputed company sites and Global Commodity Leaders as needed to understand corporate commitments, customer needs, and to reputed company best results for reputed company.
• Coordinate with Finance for quarter/year-end closing activities.

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of applicable sourcing/procurement experience.
• US Citizenship is required due to Federal Contract provisions.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY is highly preferred, but a reputed company arrangement may be considered for exceptional applicants.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Federal procurement compliance and small business preferred.
• Demonstrated reputed company in working with cross-functional teams.
• Previous experience in leading teams.
• Must be detail-oriented and data-driven.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and facilitation skills with the ability to influence others.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Strong PC, database management skills; experience with reputed company Purchasing and Smartsheets is a plus.
• Sourcing experience in both strategic and procurement functions as well as indirect sourcing.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $138,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, welfare, retirement, and paid leave.
