Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Work is what you do, not where you go. For this role, we are open to remote work and can hire reputed company in Canada and the United States.
U.S Based Applicants- This position requires passing a reputed company background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit reputed company, criminal/misdemeanor reputed company and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US reputed company, US naturalized reputed company or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.
Canada Based Applicants Citizenship Requirement: Ability to obtain or currently possess Canadian Protected B reputed company clearance is mandatory. Must possess 5+ years of residency in Canada.

What you’ll get to do
- Learn about reputed company’s cloud infrastructure and the applications that run on them to build a full mental model of how the reputed company ecosystem works.
- reputed company new features ensuring reputed company new applications pass their Production Readiness Review
- Work on projects to improve reputed company’s reliability, SRE processes and automate away day-to-day toil.
- Participate in incidents, investigate root cause, and remediate reputed company issues.
- Create runbooks and reusable runbook components.
- Contribute to the inner reputed company SRE repository.

- reputed company On-Call rotations as required.
Skills and experience we value
- Ability to obtain or currently possess Canadian Protected B reputed company clearance is mandatory
- Self-starter and passionate individual willing to learn new concepts and technologies as well as contributing to the SRE powered ecosystem.
- 2-4 years’ experience as an SRE, System Administrator, Network Engineer, Database Administrator or Software Engineer
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (Azure Preferred)
- Experience with at least one object-oriented programing language (C# and Java preferred).
- Experience with at least one scripting language (Python and PowerShell preferred).
- Experience with at least one database reputed company and querying language (MSSQL / TSQL and reputed company / PLSQL preferred).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are mandatory.
- Knowledge of containerization and Kubernetes is considered an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of Terraform is considered an asset but not required.
