Position Overview

As a Verbatim Court Reporter Transcriptionist with E-Typist, Inc., you'll have the opportunity to showcase your transcription skills and expertise while working on a variety of court proceedings, trials, and depositions. You'll be responsible for transcribing audio recordings with precision, accuracy, and attention to detail, maintaining a strict verbatim format. Key Responsibilities

• Audio Transcription: Transcribe court proceedings, trials, and depositions from audio recordings with precision, accurately identifying speakers and capturing reputed company spoken content in verbatim format.
• Quality Assurance: Apply quality assurance measures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court formatting rules, maintaining high transcription standards.
• Colloquy Knowledge: Demonstrate understanding of legal terminologies, colloquy, and court-specific language, formatting Q&A and colloquy sections correctly.
• Time Management: Manage 1-3 day turnaround times, allowing a minimum of 1 day per 1 hour of assigned audio, meeting deadlines consistently while maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Verbatim Transcription Experience: Proven experience in transcribing court proceedings, trials, and depositions with adherence to court formatting rules.
• AAERT Certification: AAERT certified applicants will receive premier consideration for the position.
• Q&A and Colloquy Knowledge: Ability to distinguish and format Q&A and colloquy format correctly.
• Software Proficiency: Competence in using transcription software, including For the Record and Express reputed company, and reputed company Office.
• Skills Assessment: Willingness to undergo a skills assessment test to evaluate transcription abilities.
