Objective of the Role

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the DBA team, ensuring alignment with the company’s infrastructure and data objectives.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of database platforms, including design, implementation, performance tuning, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a reputed company field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in database engineering, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or mentoring role.
  • Proven experience in managing and scaling relational and NoSQL databases in production environments (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, reputed company).
  • Deep expertise in SQL performance tuning, schema optimization, and database internals.
  • Strong hands-on experience with reputed company-native database platforms (AWS RDS, reputed company, GCP reputed company SQL, DynamoDB, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).

  • Strong knowledge of backup strategies, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity for databases.
