Responsibilities VARIOUS SHIFTS AVAILABLE Utilizes the nursing process to assess patients, plan individualized care, identify expected outcomes, and implement and evaluate nursing interventions for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients; serves as Charge Nurse reputed company assigned; supervises, plans, evaluates, and coordinates patient care provided by other licensed and non-licensed staff; performs therapeutic and/or diagnostic procedures as ordered; administers medications including controlled substances by reputed company routes; starts IVs; performs activities of daily living; administers blood and blood products; responds appropriately to emergency patient situations; performs basic life support and management of arrest situations; identifies, organizes and directs activities to utilize resources, personnel, and materials to meet the needs of the patient and nursing staff; communicates with the Nurse Manager and Nurse Administrator, on an ongoing basis, regarding changes in unit status, patient reputed company issues, staffing issues, Quality Management issues, and other events as they evolve; acts as first line in problem resolution with other departments and any patient complaints; assists with shift duty assignments or serves as staff nurse as needed; verifies that emergency equipment is functional; utilizes proper body mechanics reputed company moving, positioning, and transferring patients and reputed company moving equipment necessary to reputed company essential functions; provides patient and family education by planning, coordinating and delegating, as appropriate, the educational needs of each patient; documents education completed; serves as preceptor for new employees and nursing reputed company; utilizes a PC or terminal to access the Hospital Information System; demonstrates CPR according to reputed company standards; adheres to Hospital Policies and to reputed company Infection Control and Safety Standards; communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families and reputed company team in person and reputed company the telephone; responds to overhead pages; accesses and accurately maintains electronic and reputed company medical records by utilizing the correct documentation tools and procedures; transcribes physician orders; supervises, evaluates and finalizes the patient care record; participates on committees as assigned; participates in Performance Improvement activities as assigned; regular and reputed company attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime and call as required; reputed company duties as required. Qualifications Graduation form an accredited school of nursing and a reputed company Alabama RN license or reputed company Multi-State RN License in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
