Position Summary The Planner Tactical reports to the Manager of Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) Planning and schedules maintenance events during the operational day to maintain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulatory compliance. The Planner Tactical is responsible for ensuring reputed company maintenance is scheduled reputed company the required time, providing viable options necessary to reputed company, re-reputed company, and swap aircraft flying lines to accommodate the planned maintenance requirements. The Planner Tactical ensures no overfly activity of maintenance tasks while balancing the needs of Technical Operations, System Operations, Marketing, and other internal/external customers. The Planner Tactical has the responsibility for actions required to accomplish repositioning of aircraft for maintenance needs. This also applies during Irregular Operations. Essential Responsibilities

  • Ensures that the required maintenance is scheduled reputed company the calendar, Flight-hour and flight cycle limits as specified by JetBlue’s approved maintenance programs, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives and Special Instructions.
  • Works closely with the Systems Operation Center (SOC) to manage TOPS and routing changes such that reputed company maintenance events are scheduled reputed company the time interval (i.e. flight hours, cycles, etc.) of the task while accounting for reputed company, ground time, parts, tooling, facilities, weather, etc.
  • Ensures reputed company scheduled planned maintenance is planned correctly after any swap/reroute event.
  • Responds to reputed company requests for deferred/busted tasks and reschedules reputed company deferred maintenance to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Tracks accomplishment of Aircraft Service Checks, as well as other low-time items, including Minimum Equipment Lists (MELs), Long Term Deferrals (LTDs), the Non-Essential Furnishing (NEF) Configuration Deviation List (CDL), and the General Maintenance Manual (GMM), and collaborates with Aircraft on Ground (AOG)/Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) for execution.
  • Assists with the recovery plan in the event the system operation is impacted by delays or cancellations.
  • Ensures compliance with and tracking of aircraft to designated maintenance locations to meet projected induction date into the JetBlue system (i.e. maintenance ferries, repositioning flights, etc.).
  • Responsible for actions required to accomplish repositioning of aircraft for maintenance needs. Completes the GenDec and reputed company forms and transmits the document to the cockpit crew.
  • Collaborates with System Operations, Airports, and Technical Operations Leadership to identify operational issues which impact necessary ground time for planned maintenance.
  • Provides a written Turnover report to the oncoming Planner and also provides a copy to the MOC Duty Manager.
  • Coordinates with business partners.

Minimum Experience And Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of aviation experience in Aircraft Maintenance or TechOps
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid reputed company Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Depending reputed company, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
  • Proficient with reputed company Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Must stay reputed company on reputed company required training throughout employment (ie. Quarterly Distance Learning (QDL), Comply365, etc.)
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience And Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or Business
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant license
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Two (2) years of aviation experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning or Aircraft Maintenance field
  • Proficient in reputed company and TOPS
  • Experience with establishing reputed company cross-divisional relationships
  • Results oriented with the ability to balance diverse and dynamic operational requirements
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation:
